DataRoad Selected to Install and Configure Augusta Labs' Next-Generation Network Infrastructure
Alfragide, June 2026 — DataRoad IT Services and Consulting was selected by Augusta Labs, a Lisbon-based applied artificial intelligence laboratory, to design and fully implement the enterprise network infrastructure for its new facilities. This turnkey project, built from the ground up, provides one of the country’s most dynamic AI engineering teams with a network tailored to its ambition.
Founded in 2024, Augusta Labs brings together more than 50 AI/ML engineers and develops artificial intelligence solutions for Fortune 500 companies and public institutions around the world. DataRoad's technical team carried out a comprehensive project, from the initial survey to the individual certification of each network node.

- Approximately 400 meters of CAT6A cabling dedicated to network ports and 10 Gbps access points
- 110 network nodes, each individually terminated, identified, labeled, and certified
- Two 18U wall-mounted racks with 24-door shielded panels, vertical organization, and CAT6A S/FTP LSZH patch cords
WiFi 7 Wireless Network for Businesses
- 7 Ubiquiti UniFi U7 Pro XGS access points with 10GbE uplink and Wi-Fi 7 — full coverage and maximum performance in high-density environments
10 Gbps network core
- 2 UniFi Pro Max 48 switches interconnected via a 10Gb DAC
- Pro XG 10 PoE Switch designed to power access points
- 10 Gbps Internet connection, with redundancy
Security and Service Continuity
- UniFi Dream Machine Beast (UDM-Beast) Gateway/Firewall: perimeter security, traffic inspection, and centralized management of the entire network
- APC Easy UPS On-Line 2000VA Rack-Mount UPS, for power protection and continuity of critical equipment
The project also included an audit of the existing network, the correction of terminations, and the restoration of network outlets. Because a premium infrastructure cannot tolerate loose ends—not even legacy ones.

Augusta Labs now has a unified infrastructure, centrally managed through the UniFi ecosystem: a redundant 10 Gbps backbone, WiFi 7 throughout the facility, and 110 certified and documented network access points.
