DataRoad concludes mega-project for server room migration and installation of 6,000 metres of CAT6 structured cabling for ETI Simulation & Engineering Solutions
A DataRoad successfully completed yet another highly technologically complex project, this time for the ETI Simulation & Engineering Solutions, involving a complete relocation of the server room, installation of 6,000 metres of certified CAT6 structured cabling, link to 180 metres of fibre-optic cable, reorganisation of the network infrastructure and complete replacement of the manhole covers.
This project was designed to drastically improve the reliability, speed and performance of ETI's internal communications, ensuring a robust, modern and future-proof infrastructure.
✅ Complete migration of the server room with zero impact on business operations
The main objective was to relocation of the server room to a new site, ensuring:
- Better climate control and security conditions
- Increased expansion capacity
- Greater network reliability and redundancy
- Effective communication between three distinct rooms
To this end, DataRoad carried out the following:
- Complete replacement of the old wiring
- Ticket for 6,000 metres of CAT6 Gigabit cabling
- Installation of 180 metres of fibre-optic cable high-performance
- Preparation, assembly and connection of three backstage areas (2 communications and 1 server)
- Integration of the new room with all existing workstations
- Gigabit network implementation with structural improvements to the client's infrastructure
